Mr Chew was the founder and partner of KS Chew Lawyers & Associates. He read Law at University of East London, United Kingdom and graduated with honours in 1994. He was later admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Upon his admission, he started his legal career in Messrs Lim Boo Chang & Co in Penang and became a partner in that firm. He then moved to Kuala Lumpur and joined Messrs Jeyaratnam & Chong where he was also made a partner. Mr Chew had also headed the Banking Recovery Unit of Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co. He later became partner of Messrs Lim Soh & Goonting and MESSRS Chew Das & Jayaraja.

Mr Chew has extensive experience in general and civil litigation where he advises and represents clients in a wide variety of complex claims and disputes. He has vast experience in the law of contract, property law, labour and employment law, family law, defamation, tenancy and distress, probate and administration of estates. Mr Chew also has the experience in most areas of criminal litigation and has represented clients in criminal trials.

Mr Chew also represents financial institutions and major corporations as counsel in a wide range of fields including banking, hire purchase, foreclosures of land, insurance, shareholders and corporate disputes. He is also conversant with the execution process like bankruptcy law, winding-up of companies, etc.
